The 100-year-old Waples Mercantile Building is the vibrant new home for The Inn at Lynden. This boutique hotel is one of a select few in Washington State that resides in a structure listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It shares its home with a selection of restauranteurs and retail merchants and together this group of entrepreneurs has infused new excitement, interest and partnerships in the historic city of Lynden.

Raised from the ashes of a fire that nearly consumed the building in 2008, the Waples Mercantile Building has been revitalized to claim its rightful place as the heart of the city. The process of recovery was long and filled with triumphs and tribulations. But the end result is a majestic, historic structure with a new infusion of life. At the Waples Mercantile Building we pay tribute to the past while paving the way for a successful, vibrant, community-focused future.

Each of the Inn’s 35 rooms offers stylish and serene comfort in a setting that highlights the building's rich history.
